Yoast

Yoast is a WordPress plugin that helps you optimize your website for search engines. Here’s a brief overview of the plugin and how to use it:

  1. Configure your general settings: Go to the “SEO” section in your WordPress dashboard and click on the “General” tab. Here, you can configure settings related to your website’s title, meta description, and social media sharing options.
  2. Optimize your content: When creating or editing a piece of content, you can use the Yoast SEO plugin to optimize it for search engines. Below the content editor, you’ll see a Yoast SEO box that provides feedback on how well your content is optimized. Follow the suggestions provided by Yoast SEO to improve your content’s SEO.
  3. Set up your sitemap: Yoast SEO automatically generates a sitemap for your website, which helps search engines understand the structure of your site. To set up your sitemap, go to the “SEO” section in your WordPress dashboard and click on the “XML Sitemaps” tab. Here, you can configure the settings for your sitemap and view it to make sure everything looks correct.
  4. Use the advanced settings: Yoast SEO also provides advanced settings that allow you to control how your content appears in search engine results pages (SERPs). Go to the “SEO” section in your WordPress dashboard and click on the “Search Appearance” tab. Here, you can configure settings related to your website’s title and meta description, as well as settings for your social media profiles.
