Wrestlemania 42 Predictions

Night 1 Predictions (April 18)

The Vision (Logan Paul & Austin Theory) & IShowSpeed vs The Usos & LA Knight

This match has chaos written all over it. Logan Paul at WrestleMania is always a problem, but the wildcard here is IShowSpeed. He’s not a wrestler, he’s a walking liability – and that’s exactly why I think he costs his team the match. I can 100% see Speed trying to have a viral moment, messing something up, and it backfiring completely. And on top of that, don’t be surprised if Tom Brady somehow gets involved after that whole online beef with Logan Paul. This feels like the perfect “send the crowd home happy early” type of match.

Winner: The Usos & LA Knight

Jacob Fatu vs Drew McIntyre (Unsanctioned Match)

This might be the most violent match on the entire card. I’m expecting blood, weapons, and some genuinely scary spots. Jacob Fatu feels like he’s being positioned as a future main event monster, and this is exactly the kind of match you use to legitimize him. On the flip side, Drew McIntyre has outside commitments, including filming the Highlander, so writing him off TV here makes a ton of sense. This is going to be brutal and it’s going to end with Fatu standing tall.

Winner: Jacob Fatu

Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs Liv Morgan – Women’s World Championship

This feels like Liv Morgan’s moment. Everything about her story is lining up perfectly: winning the Royal Rumble, getting her opportunity, and now potentially winning the big one at WrestleMania. WWE loves that full-circle storytelling. I also don’t think she does it alone. Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez getting involved would not surprise me at all and could be the difference maker here.

Winner: Liv Morgan

AJ Lee (c) vs Becky Lynch – WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship

As much as people might want AJ Lee to win, this one feels like a no-brainer. AJ is a part-timer, while Becky Lynch is the definition of a workhorse and the Intercontinental Championship is supposed to be defended constantly. On top of that, Becky is 0-4 against AJ Lee. There is no better time to finally get that win than on the biggest stage of them all. This feels like Becky’s redemption moment.

Winner: Becky Lynch

The Irresistible Forces (c) vs Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss vs Bayley & Lyra Valkyria vs The Bella Twins – Women’s Tag Team Championship

This is one of those matches where the story matters more than anything else. Last year, Bayley was supposed to be in this position but got taken out, which led to Lyra winning the titles with Becky instead. Now, it feels like WWE is correcting that story. The Bella Twins don’t need it, Charlotte and Alexa don’t need it, and the current champions have already had their run. This is about giving Bayley her moment and letting her and Lyra stand tall together.

Winner: Bayley & Lyra Valkyria

Seth Rollins vs Gunther

This is where things start getting really interesting. Gunther has been building momentum and connections behind the scenes, and if WWE is setting him up for something bigger like a future match involving Brock Lesnar – he needs this win. I don’t think he wins clean either. A returning Bron Breakker interfering makes way too much sense. It protects Rollins, gives Gunther the win, and sets up a massive feud heading into the summer.

Winner: Gunther

Cody Rhodes (c) vs Randy Orton – Undisputed WWE Championship

This doesn’t feel like just a title match, it feels like the start of a bigger storyline. There’s clearly something brewing with Pat McAfee and this whole TKO vs WWE dynamic, and this could be the moment it fully kicks off. I expect Randy Orton to win, and I definitely don’t expect it to be clean. Pat McAfee getting involved and costing Cody feels very likely. And yeah… we might be getting another WrestleMania main event where a celebrity is standing tall to close the show.

Winner: Randy Orton

Night 2 Predictions (April 19)

Oba Femi vs Brock Lesnar

Oba Femi has been standing tall in almost every segment leading into this match, and in WWE logic, that usually means he’s losing at the pay-per-view. Brock Lesnar is still Brock Lesnar, and with this match airing on ESPN, you’re bringing in a massive audience that remembers him from his UFC days. This feels like the moment Brock reminds everyone exactly who he is.

Winner: Brock Lesnar

Penta (c) vs Je’Von Evans vs Dragon Lee vs JD McDonagh vs Rusev vs Rey Mysterio – Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match

The real winner here is us because this match is going to be insane. Just non-stop spots from start to finish. But when you actually think about the outcome, Penta just won the title and his reign is still very new. There’s a long list of potential feuds waiting for him, and it would make no sense to cut that run short right now.

Winner: Penta retains

Jade Cargill (c) vs Rhea Ripley – WWE Women’s Championship

Let’s be honest, the build to this match hasn’t been great. But that doesn’t change the fact that Jade Cargill is still being protected as a dominant champion. I don’t see that changing here. I do expect outside involvement though. B-Fab and Michin helping Jade retain would make sense and could set up a much bigger feud down the line, possibly with a returning Bianca Belair.

Winner: Jade Cargill

Sami Zayn (c) vs Trick Williams – United States Championship

This feels like a star-making moment. Trick Williams was built for this kind of stage. The entrance is going to be crazy, the crowd is going to be behind him, and it just feels like the right time. Add in a potential distraction from his celebrity valet Lil Yachty, and you’ve got the perfect setup for Trick to capitalize and win his first major main roster title.

Winner: Trick Williams

“The Demon” Finn Bálor vs Dominik Mysterio

This is honestly the easiest match to predict on the entire card. If Finn Bálor is bringing back The Demon, there is absolutely no world where he loses to Dominik Mysterio. If that happens, it completely kills the aura of the character. The Demon should dominate this match and remind everyone why it used to be unbeatable.

Winner: Demon Finn Bálor

CM Punk (c) vs Roman Reigns – World Heavyweight Championship

This is the hardest match on the entire card to predict because there are so many moving parts. The Usos could get involved. Dwayne Johnson could return. And if he does, who does he go after? Roman for disappointing him? Or Punk for constantly taking shots at him? There are so many directions this could go, but I’m going with the outcome that creates the biggest storyline coming out of WrestleMania. CM Punk retains—and to close the show, The Rock returns and attacks Roman Reigns, setting up a massive match between the two at WrestleMania next year.

Winner: CM Punk retains

Night 2 Boosted Parlay
