Stanley Cup Playoffs – Betting Odds

Boston Bruins +250

Having recently set the NHL’s all-time mark for points in a season (135), the Bruins are right where they belong as the betting favorites to win this year’s Stanley Cup. With veteran leads like David Pastrnak, Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron, as well as Vezina favorite Linus Ullmark between the pipes, Boston will be very tough to beat in a seven-game series.

Colorado Avalanche +700

The Avalanche are looking to defend their Stanley Cup title in this year’s playoffs, with the majority of last year’s championship roster still intact. While Colorado is loaded with talented players like Nathan MacKinnon, Mikko Rantanen and Cale Makar, it’s worth noting that they’ll be without injured captain Gabriel Landeskog for the entire postseason.

Edmonton Oilers +800

Following a remarkable campaign that saw Connor McDavid set countless records and three different Oilers crack the 100-point plateau, Edmonton is hoping that their regular season success will finally carry over to the NHL Playoffs. If they can get solid play out of their defense, this just may be the year that the Oilers bring the cup back home to Edmonton.

Carolina Hurricanes +900

The Hurricanes won this year’s Metropolitan Division and have plenty of reasons to be optimistic heading into the playoffs. Carolina star Andrei Svechnikov is on long-term injured reserve, but this the team’s energetic, high-pressure style of play makes them one to watch out for in this year’s playoffs.

Toronto Maple Leafs +900

It’s been 56 years since this Original 6 franchise last won a Stanley Cup, yet Toronto remains one of the most bet teams to win it all this season. With star players like Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner, John Tavares and William Nylander, it’s not hard to see why bettors have faith in this year’s Maple Leafs.

Vegas Golden Knights +1100

The Golden Knights are coming off their third Pacific Division title in the franchise’s brief history, putting them in perfect position for another deep run in this year’s playoffs. Veteran winger Matt Stone is back for the postseason push, which will also include the playoff debut of Vegas forward Jack Eichel.

New Jersey Devils +1200

The Devils were one of the biggest surprises of the NHL regular season, with this team setting the franchise mark for both wins (52) and points (112). This young squad may be short on experience but they make up for it in elite talent with the likes of Jack Hughes, Nico Hirschier and Dougie Hamilton.

New York Rangers +1200

This team boasts a ton of skill, as Rangers brass took advantage of the trade deadline by adding Patrick Kane and Vladimir Tarasenko to a roster that already playmakers like Artemi Panarin, Mika Zibanejad, Chris Kreider and Adam Fox. Combined with last year’s Vezina Trophy winner Igor Shesterkin, New York’s Stanley Cup odds provide some excellent betting value.

Tampa Bay Lightning +1600

Another team whose Stanley Cup betting odds provide immense value; the Lightning are looking to reach the Stanley Cup Finals for the fourth consecutive season. Tampa may be getting long in the tooth but with playoff vets like Nikita Kucherov, Braden Point, Steven Stamkos and Victor Hedman, no other team has more playoff experience.

Dallas Stars +2000

Led by a 109-point performance from Jason Robertson, the Stars finished just a point back of Colorado in the Central Division standings. Dallas is flying under the radar heading into the playoffs, but this team is just three years removed from reaching the Stanley Cup Finals and still has several experienced veterans like Jamie Benn and Joe Pavelski to help guide the troops.

Los Angeles Kings +2200

The Kings enjoyed a strong regular season and are looking to win their first playoff series since defeating the Rangers in the 2014 Stanley Cup Finals. Veterans Anze Kopitar and Drew Doughty are still in Los Angeles and would love to turn back the clock with help from some of their younger players like Kevin Fiala and Adrian Kempe.

Minnesota Wild +2200

A popular dark horse in the 2023 NHL Playoffs, the Wild have some great young talent with players like Kirill Kapirzov and Matt Boldy. While Minnesota is somewhat limited offensively, this team makes up for it with size, toughness and strong defensive play on the back end.

Winnipeg Jets +2500

Having just barely squeaked in to the NHL Playoffs, the Jets are hoping to catch some teams off-guard during the postseason. Winnipeg has been in playoff mode for several weeks now and will look to players like Blake Wheeler, Mark Scheifele and Kyle Connor to lead the way. It also helps that they have one of the league’s best goaltenders in Connor Hellebuyck.

Seattle Kraken +2800

Seattle may be short on star power, but they have plenty of depth and get offensive contributions from all four lines. Seattle had 6 different players reach the 20-goal plateau this year, including standout seasons from Jared MCann, Jordan Eberle and presumed Rookie of the Year, Matty Beniers.

New York Islanders +5000

The Islanders are one of the lowest scoring teams in this year’s NHL Playoffs, but their gritty style of play and elite goaltending from Ilya Sorokin make them an intriguing betting option. New York will also benefit from getting star forward Mathew Barzal back from injury just in time for the start of the postseason, which should go a long way for the team’s offensive production.

Florida Panthers +5000

Looking to build on last year’s playoff appearance, the Panthers are back in the postseason but have some new faces on the ice. Matthew Tkachuk has looked unstoppable since joining Florida and the team will look to him and Aleksander Barkov to advance past the second round for the first time in nearly 30 years!
