Saturday, January 3rd

Carolina Panthers (8-8) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-9)

  • Start: January 3 at 4:30 p.m. ET on ABC/ESPN
  • Spread: Carolina +2.5, Tampa Bay -2.5
  • Moneyline: Carolina +120, Tampa Bay -140
  • Total: 44

The NFC South always provides a fight to the finish. Just when you thought the Bucs were running away with the division, they lost four straight and have gone 1-7 over their last eight games.

Meanwhile, the Panthers have been playing. 500 football, enough to put them atop the division with one game remaining. The task is simple for both squads: win, and you’re in. Shockingly, despite their struggles offensively down the stretch, the Bucs are slight favorites at home.

Quarterback Baker Mayfield, once an early-season MVP candidate, needs to play better for Tampa to win and cover. He’s recorded five interceptions during their four-straight losses and recorded 10 sacks. As for Panthers QB Bryce Young, turnovers will be a factor as well; they are 3-5 straight up when he throws an interception.

Seattle Seahawks (13-3) at San Francisco 49ers (12-4)

  • Start: January 3 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC/ESPN
  • Spread: Seattle -1.5, San Francisco +1.5
  • Moneyline: Seattle -115, San Francisco -105
  • Total: 49.5

The NFC West is another highly competitive division that has been back and forth all year. Not only is this matchup between the Seahawks and 49ers a battle for the NFC West title, but it is also a battle for the NFC No. 1 seed. With the Los Angeles Rams losing to Atlanta on Monday Night Football, it’s winner takes all on Saturday night.

Despite being on the road, the Seahawks are the slight favorites, as they have been the more complete team all year. The Seahawks have a solid starting QB, a generational wideout, a strong run game, and a defense that allows just 18.1 points per game. On the 49ers’ side, they’ve been mostly held together by elite coaching; they’ve been riddled with injuries on defense and are just getting QB Brock Purdy back. That said, they’re getting hot at the right time, and clinching the division and conference would help them lick their wounds before the postseason.

Sunday, January 4th

Baltimore Ravens (8-8) at Pittsburgh Steelers (9-7)

  • Start: January 4 at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC/Peacock
  • Spread: Baltimore -3.5, Pittsburgh +3.5
  • Moneyline: Baltimore -185, Pittsburgh +160
  • Total: 41.5

Every team in the AFC North has been an absolute mess. But when it comes to the Steelers and Ravens, all drama can be erased with one big win on Sunday night.

The Steelers have been inconsistent on both sides of the ball all season. And just when they started to figure things out, they lost WR DK Metcalf for two games after he confronted a fan. The result from the suspension was an ugly 13-6 loss to Cleveland, as the offense could not get anything going without their deep threat. They’ll need to find answers for veteran QB Aaron Rodgers when they face an improving Baltimore secondary.

Meanwhile, there are rumors of a fraying relationship between QB Lamar Jackson and head coach John Harbaugh. Injuries have been an ongoing issue with the two-time MVP, and he may not even be available for this monster matchup due to back issues. Regardless, having a future HOFer running back in the winter is a huge advantage for Baltimore, which is why oddmakers made them the favorite with a low total.
