The final week of the NFL regular season is here – and some huge games are on tap.

NFL Week 18 always brings a mix of games to bet on, with some games meaning everything and other games featuring teams that are waiting for the golf course.

Both types of games offer tons of smart betting options though, and we’ve got a Week 18 preview to help you get some great betting insights.

Minnesota Vikings (+130) at Detroit Lions (-150)

The winner here takes not only the NFC North crown, but also the #1 seed in the entire NFC and home field advantage throughout the NFL Playoffs. It’s a Sunday Night Football game that looks to be a perfect close to the NFL regular season.

On paper, it’s a close matchup of dynamic teams who’ve played at a high level all season long.

In reality, the Lions are banged up on defense and coming off a shorter week after a Monday night game against the 49ers.

Still, Lions’ coach Dan Campbell has his team ready for every game, and the crowd at Ford Field will be insanely loud.

But Kevin O’Connell has been making all the right calls so far this season for the Vikings, so him and Sam Darnold won’t rattle easily.

Darnold comes into the final weekend third in the league in passing yardage and 4th in touchdowns. His receiving corps of Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison is much healthier than the Lions’ defensive backfield too.

Two great teams, with great offenses and great coaches. This should be a classic, and we might give the slight edge to the healthier Vikings.

Buffalo Bills (-135) at New England Patriots (+115)

This game is suddenly meaningless for the Buffalo Bills, who clinched the #2 seed in the AFC after dominating Aaron Rodgers and the Jets last weekend.

The New England Patriots will be playing for pride as Buffalo likely rests its starters ahead of the NFL Playoffs.

This game gives New England’s stellar rookie QB Drake Maye a chance for more reps against a fierce division rival, and for players like RB Rhamondre Stevenson to prove they’re worthy; Stevenson was mysteriously held to just two carries against the Chargers last week, and the Pats managed just 96 yards rushing.

The Patriots – just a week after a close 24-21 loss to this very Bills team – will be looking to avenge that loss and the embarrassing L to LAC.

Mitch Trubisky saw plenty of action as the Bills’ QB once their blowout win over the Jets was secured, and he should get the start.

While the moneyline still currently gives the Bills the slight edge, keep an eye on any movement towards a Patriots team playing at home that won’t want to roll over against the Bills’ B team.

Chicago Bears (+305) at Green Bay Packers (-410)

Despite already clinching either the #6 or #7 NFL playoff spot in the NFC, Green Bay opens as heavy favorites against the Chicago Bears.

Is this big moneyline gap justified, along with the Packers -8.5 spread? It depends on how much that #6 seed means to them, and how much the Bears want to just hibernate until the next NFL season.

Jordan Love, if he starts, will need to come out of the gate quicker. He had only 64 yards passing after the first 3 quarters of last week’s game against the Vikings. But heading into that game, the Packers averaged more than 30 points in 5 straight games.

His counterpart, Bears’ rookie QB Caleb Williams, is the most sacked passer in the NFL this season. He’s going up against a Packers’ D that feasted on another rookie just two weeks ago in New Orleans in a 34-0 blowout win. Williams also completed a grand total of one pass for more than 10 yards in last week’s game against the Seahawks.

If you’re a vibes bettor, the feeling in the Windy City is barely more than a breeze at this point. They’re on a 10-game losing streak and the lone bright spot is a decent defense.

If the Pack goes up early, expect some of their starters to rest – but even then, Chicago might not muster much offense. The Over/Under of 40.5 could be a tempting Under.

Denver Broncos (-525) at Kansas City Chiefs (+375)

While the Kansas City Chiefs can go on cruise control in Week 18 with a firm hold on the #1 seed in the AFC, the Denver Broncos will be playing for their playoff lives.

This is why we’re seeing a Chiefs-Broncos moneyline and spread that we’d never normally see in the regular season. Patrick Mahomes and other key Chiefs players will get some rest while Bo Nix grinds out every snap.

If the Chiefs start Carson Wentz, he’ll be up against a tough Broncos defense that just sacked Joe Burrow seven times last weekend, is first in sacks in the NFL, and second in pressure rate.

But it’s still Arrowhead, Andy Reid is still calling the shots for KC, and Bo Nix is still a rookie QB.

Keep an eye on the large spread that is currently at 9.5 in favor of Denver.

It’s true that of the Bengals and Dolphins both lose, the Broncos are still headed to the NFL Playoffs. But they won’t want to leave that to chance.

New Orleans Saints (+650) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-1100)

The Bucs control their own fate as they can wrap up the NFC South and a Wild Card Weekend home game with a win over the struggling Saints.

Tampa Bay is heavily favored in this game. The spread is currently 14 points, one of the biggest spreads when it comes to NFL odds all season.

And it’s for good reason. Mike Evans, the ageless wide receiver, is healthy again and Bucs’ QB Baker Mayfield seems to find him for a couple of TDs every game.

The Bucs’ Bucky Irving – who would be in the running for rookie of the year in the NFL except for Washington’s Jayden Daniels having an epic debut season of his own – just passed the 1,000-yard rushing mark last weekend and is showing no signs of slowing down.

The Bucs put up 550+ yards of offense against Carolina last weekend and they might expect to do the same against a Saints team that probably can’t wait for the offseason.

They gave up over 150 yards on the ground alone against the Raiders last week, so Irving might be ready to explode for more than that just on his own.

In what looks to be a sure thing for Tampa Bay, there are many great player props and other bets to get in on for the Bucs-Saints season finale.
