You can accuse the UFC of many things, but you can’t accuse them of being cautious with fight cards. We’ve got a middleweight title fight with a champion facing a monster on the rise, exciting highlight-reel strikers clashing, and young up-and-comers facing seasoned gatekeepers.
The title fight headlines UFC 319, but on Saturday, August 16, breakout moments can happen anywhere. We preview the main card and look at the UFC 319 odds.

Dricus Du Plesis vs. Khamzat Chimaev Odds
- Dricus Du Plessis: +168
- Khamzat Chimaev: -198
Fights like these are what the UFC truly excels at. In boxing, we rarely get two juggernauts meeting in the ring anymore. Meanwhile, the UFC has put two undefeated fighters (within UFC) in their prime.
Fans have been waiting for the rise of Khamzat Chimaev, but health issues slowed his ascent. He’s managed to jump back into the conversation after steamrolling Robert Whittaker just 3:34 into Round 1. He took the former middleweight champion down in 15 seconds, before a tight choke appeared to dislocate his jaw and eventually force him to tap. His dominance is what makes him a -198 fave.
Meanwhile, Dricus Du Plessis has been shocking bettors at every turn, winning as an underdog against Whittaker, Sean Strickland, and Israel Adesanya with constant, awkward striking. This is what makes his +168 odds a little scary. Du Plessis has relished playing the unorthodox spoiler, and stopping Chimaev’s ascent would be the icing on the cake.
Michael “Venom” Page vs. Jared Cannonier Odds
- Michael Page: +150
- Jared Cannonier: –175
Michael “Venom” Page’s UFC debut against Kevin Holland was filled with highlight-reel material – long-range strikes, constant movement, and the showmanship of a pro wrestler.
But Jared “The Killa Gorilla” Cannonier will be a different beast for Venom. Cannonier has power in both hands, heavy leg kicks that could slow Page down, and is known for absorbing damage through fights. The combination has made him the -175 favorite against Page.
Page wants to keep it clean and technical with fast counter-strikers from the outside. Cannonier wants it dirty: Cut the cage, close the distance, and catch “The Killa Gorilla” with a right hand.
Geoff Neal vs. Carlos Prates Odds
- Geoff Neal: +205
- Carlos Prates: -245
We finally get this bout after Geoff Neal withdrew from UFC 314 due to “undisclosed reasons.” Unfortunately, like a classic Mike Tyson fight, all this anticipation could lead to a first-round KO. Neal and Carlos Prates have a combined 26 knockouts in their MMA career.
Neal has been aptly nicknamed “Handz of Steel,” while Prates is a fast-rising Brazilian newcomer with two straight UFC knockouts. Oddsmakers have favored the young Brazilian at -245. Still, Neal’s heavy hands have been known to catch top names on the rise, like his unanimous decision against current UFC welterweight champ Belal Muhammad.
Jessica Andrade vs. Loopy Godinez Odds
- Jessica Andrade: +155
- Loopy Godinez: -180
This one’s another classic clash between a proven finisher and a fighter on the rise.
Jessica Andrade has been a strawweight wrecking ball for years. She’s a former champion and has fight-ending power in both hands. But she’s had a rough stretch – losing back-to-back fights in 2025 – and oddsmakers have noticed. At +155, she’s the underdog for the first time in years against a non-champion opponent.
Meanwhile, Loopy Godinez has quietly climbed the rankings with a grinding, high-pressure style that smothers opponents in takedowns and clinch work. She’s also sharp on her feet, suffocating in close, and has shown the stamina to maintain a relentless pace over three rounds. At -180, she’s favored for good reason; her game matches up well against Andrade’s brawling style.
Kai Asakura vs. Tim Elliott Odds
- Kai Asakura: -290
- Tim Elliott: +240
This is a sneaky-good flyweight scrap. Asakura joined the UFC after an exciting run in Rizin, where he built a name as a KO artist. He challenged for the flyweight title in his debut at UFC 310 but came up short. He’s looking to surge back into the flyweight mix with a big win as a -290 favorite.
Tim Elliott is an unpredictable, scrappy veteran with 20+ UFC fights under his belt. Ranked #11 in the division, he’s been a spoiler before and could do it again.
If Asakura shines here, he’ll be another marquee name in a deep flyweight division.
