Scottie Scheffler +275

Heading the list of favorites when it comes to the 2025 US Open golf odds, Scottie Scheffler is once again dominating the game.

While Rory McIlroy lit up the PGA earlier this season and through his Masters win, it’s Scheffler who has regained his game and once again assumed the title of the best golfer in the world.

His odds are a long drive away from the next-closest player, and for good reason.

Scheffler has won 3 of his last 4 tournaments, picking up the PGA Championship in the process. Since the beginning of May, he’s won almost $10 million in tour earnings and has placed in the top 10 – a bet available at Bovada when the field is finally set – in 5 straight tournaments. In his latest win at Jack Nicklaus’ Memorial Tournament, he finished all four rounds under par and cleared the runner-up by 4 strokes.

In short, Scheffler is again approaching Tiger-like dominance on the PGA Tour and is expected to win every tournament he enters, including the next major, the 2025 US Open.

Rory McIlroy +650

Coming off a hot start to the season and with his epic Masters win, it looked like McIlroy was going to have a career year.

But the veteran Irishman has stumbled a little after Augusta, with a 7th place finish at the Truist tournament, a disappointing 47th and some driver drama at the PGA Championship, and a tough start at the RBC Canadian Open that put him in 6 shots off the top spot for Day 1.

He’s still Rory McIlroy though, which gives him US Open odds right near the top.

McIlroy’s game may not be in the best shape right now, and he’ll need to get going if he wants to be the next winner. His last appearance at Oakmont resulted in an 8-over and a missed cut.

Given the drama over his non-conforming driver at the PGA, and the early signs that his new driver at the RBC Canadian Open isn’t cooperating, golf betting fans might need a bit more than the luck of the Irish if they pick Rory to turn things around quickly and win the 2025 US Open.

Bryson DeChambeau +700

Bryson DeChambeau returns as the reigning champ and given his high level of play so far this season, he’s in the top 3 when it comes to US Open odds for 2025.

Oakmont’s many bunkers might suit DeChambeau. After all, it was a 55-yard bunker shot that put him on top to win last year’s tournament.

The odds of DeChambeau repeating as champ – aside from Scheffler being in the tournament that is – are low. It’s only happened 7 times in the history of the golf tournament that a player has won in back-to-back years.

Social media videos of Bryson playing practice rounds at Oakmont have also just surface, and he was rattled by the extra-thick rough on the course.

Then again, DeChambeau tops Bovada’s golf futures list with the best odds (+500) to win a Major this year, and there are just two to go.

The big question is whether a LIV Tour golfer can put together 4 strong enough rounds to win it all at a PGA Major. If anyone can pull it off this season, it’s DeChambeau. He has finished 5th, 2nd and 1st in his last three tournaments on the LIV Tour.

But his most impressive stats this season are the 5th at the Masters and 2nd at the PGA Championship, proving he’s ready for the US Open. LIV and let LIV, let’s say.

Jon Rahm +1200

Another LIV player, Jon Rahm comes to Oakmont with the 4th-best US Open odds this year.

Rahm has had an up and down year so far – good for bunker play, not so good if you’re talking about winning golf tournaments.

Since joining the LIV Tour, Rahm has disappeared from most Majors. But between 2018 and 2023, he won two of them and had twelve top 10’s in total.

He has shown signs of recovering his old form though. He tied for 8th at the most recent Major, the PGA Championship.

At +1200, Rahm represents solid value for players betting on the US Open. He might just be turning things around at the right time. Aside from a respectable T14 at the Masters and an even better T8 finish at the PGA Championship, he has not finished worse than 9th all season long playing on the LIV Tour.

Shane Lowry +4000

We have to have some longshots in our preview, and Shane Lowry fits the role perfectly.

Lowry finished in second place at the 2016 tournament, the last time the PGA Tour players played the course. If you like redemption storylines and are looking for players who have a little extra motivation, Lowry at +4000 could be a great value to bet on.

More importantly, even though 2016 was ages ago, Lowry is having a solid season in 2025. He has two second place finishes this year so far, to go along with two other top 10’s.

When you can’t decide on the outright winner, we’ve got you covered with all kinds of different US Open bets. Picking players to place in the top 5, top 10, top 25 and other golf specials are ready close to the opening drive on Thursday.
