The Super Bowl Halftime Show is one of the biggest shows on earth every year, with hundreds of millions of people tuning in. And it generates as much, if not more, interest from viewers than the game itself. The Super Bowl LIX halftime show will feature Kendrick Lamar as the headline performer, and he’s bringing out SZA as a guest as well. There will no doubt be other special guests too – Lamar has done a ton of collaborations over the years, so he’s got plenty of friends to share the stage with.

WHO IS KENDRICK LAMAR?

Kendrick Lamar is a rapper from Compton, California, and he’ll be the first solo rap artist to headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show.

Lamar has won 17 Grammy Awards, and he’s the first non-classical or jazz musician to win the Pulitzer Prize for Music. He’s got 7 Grammy nominations for this year’s awards, soon after the Super Bowl.

He’s also had an ongoing feud with rival hip-hop artist Drake in recent years, and elements of that feud have made it into a few of Lamar’s hit songs (and into our Super Bowl LIX Halftime Prop Bets).

KENDRICK LAMAR SUPER BOWL BETS

This is the Super Bowl, so you know there are more bets than just the actual football wagers.

We’ve got a bunch of Super Bowl prop bets that don’t involve the game at all, from National Anthem bets to ‘America the Beautiful’ wagers to the coin toss and Gatorade shower.

Of course, we have Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show bets, featuring the man himself Kendrick Lamar.

Let’s look at some of the bets you can play right now…

1st Song of Halftime Show: Humble and Last Song of Halftime Show: Not Like Us

This combo bet is a classic Yes/No prop bet. These are two of Lamar’s biggest hits and oddsmakers seem to think it will be tough to nail it exactly. “Yes” is +750 and “No” is -1900. “Not Like Us” is a bit of a riskier wager in any case, given that Drake has filed a lawsuit against Lamar for creating the song to defame the Canadian rapper.

Celebrity Guest to Appear Onstage

Kendrick has collected a ton of fans and collaborators over the years, so this bet is a fun one to play. Metro Boomin leads the way at +125, with Doechii second at +210. Anderson. Paak and A$AP Rockey are farther behind at +600 and +750. Some big hitters that are more universally famous are also available to bet on, like U2 (+1500), Imagine Dragons (+2200), and Maroon 5 (+2200). Kendrick’s pal Jay-Z has been laying low recently, so he’s the longest shot at +4500.

First Song from GNX album Performed

Lamar’s GNX album was released last November (around Week 10 for you NFL fans), and you can bet on what song from that album he’ll perform first at the Super Bowl Halftime Show.

“Squabble Up” is the only song below even odds at -140, so clearly that one is the front-runner to get the party started. “TV Off” is next up at +200, although it’s a song title that the broadcasters of the Super Bowl might not want people to take too seriously. The longest odds are for Kendrick’s “Dodger Blue” at +2000, a baseball reference at a Super Bowl that is clearly not exciting to the oddsmakers.

How many Diss Tracks will Kendrick Lamar Sing about Drake?

This feud, which some think goes back all the way to 2013, has heated up in the past 12 months. Kendrick has at least 5 songs that involve some personal shots fired at Drake, and Super Bowl prop makers are letting players wager on how many of them he’ll perform at the Super Bowl LIX Halftime show.

The answer for current oddsmakers is that Kendrick will perform at least one song that is aimed at Drake. At -1500 for 1+ songs those are pretty certain odds. It’s less likely that Lamar will do 3+ diss tracks, so that’s paying +210.

The Last Song at the Halftime Show

At the end of what is always a much longer show than football fans would like, the Super Bowl halftime performers always want to go out with a bang. So the last song is usually high energy and meant to pump people up for the second half of the game. Which of Kendrick’s songs fit that description?

You can bet on Not Like Us, which has the best odds of being the last song of the show at +230. In all, there are 23 songs listed at Bovada that the star rapper might close with.

The Number of Songs at the Halftime Show

Every performer at the Super Bowl does a medley of their biggest hits for the fans to get the most advertising possible on one of the world’s biggest viewing stages. We’ve set the Over/Under for Kendrick Lamar’s total number of songs at 10.5, paying -115 either way.

So if you think he’ll do plenty of short clips from his hits, or he’ll choose 10 or less to perform, you can play your hunch accordingly.

Most performers average close to 11 songs, but Rihanna managed to sing parts of 15 of her songs at the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2023.

Will Any Performer Have a Wardrobe Malfunction During the Set?

The term “wardrobe malfunction” never really existed until Justin Timberlake said it in the wake of his Super Bowl Halftime Show with Janet Jackson in 2004.

Will it happen this year? In some ways, maybe after 21 years, it’s due. If not Kendrick himself, a backup performer, or a special guest looking to create some publicity?

The odds are against it happening, with “No” sitting at -4000 currently. If you do think chances are good this year, the Yes payout is +1000.

There are more Kendrick Lamar Super Bowl Halftime Show bets at Bovada, from his wardrobe choices to more Drake-related wagers.

No matter what happens, have fun with your favorite bets and enjoy the show.
