It’s never too early to talk about NFL Futures at Bovada, especially regarding the NFL Honors odds heading into the 2024 season.

Before the opening kickoff this year, dozens of players and coaches might have a shot at lifting an individual trophy at the NFL Honors ceremony next February.

This is the best time to score some potentially big payouts. Let’s take a look at who’s got the early edge for some of the biggest categories outside of the NFL MVP award.

Coach of the Year

Raheem Morris (+600)

Everyone loves a comeback story. With the Atlanta Falcons and Raheem Morris, NFL fans get two-for-one. It’s Morris’ second shot at a head coaching gig, and the Falcons loaded up in the off-season after six consecutive losing seasons. If they can head to the playoffs this year, Morris could be a lock for Coach of the Year honors.

Matt Eberflus (+850)

It’s a make-or-break year for Matt Eberflus, the Chicago Bears’ third-year coach. The team scored QB Caleb Williams and WR Rome Odunze in the draft and added WR Keenan Allen too. If it all comes together, put Eberflus in the “make” category at the NFL Honors ceremony.

Matt LaFleur (+900)

The Green Bay Packers won 13 games for three straight years under Matt LaFleur, before dipping to under 10 wins that past two seasons. But with Jordan Love now looking like a top-tier QB and all the team’s momentum from a great finish in 2023, LaFleur could pick up his first COTY.

DeMeco Ryans (+1000)

DeMeco Ryans is entering only his second year as head coach of the Houston Texans, but if he can improve upon the teams’ 10-7 record and Wild Card win behind CJ Stroud, he could contend for Coach of the Year.

Dave Canales (+1100)

It would be a major Cinderella story for the Carolina Panthers if Dave Canales could turn them into a winner as a rookie head coach. If they improve significantly from their two-win season, he’ll be mentioned as a COTY candidate.

Defensive Player of the Year

Micah Parsons (+500)

Every defense fears Micah Parsons week in and week out. With 13+ sacks each of the past three seasons, the Dallas Cowboys’ Parsons is still only 25 years old and this could be the year he gets his hands on the Defensive Player of the Year Award.

T.J. Watt (+525)

The winner of the DPOY on 2021 and last season’s sack leader, T.J. Watt now has new teammate Patrick Queen to help offset frequent double teams, freeing him up to potentially rack up even more sacks this season for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Myles Garrett (+650)

Last season’s DPOY, Myles Garrett is still a major factor every time he steps on the field. Eight players have won the award multiple times, and the Cleveland Browns’ All-Pro is aiming to join that list when the NFL Honors are presented this winter.

Maxx Crosby (+675)

His 14.5 sacks were good for 6th in the NFL last season, and Maxx Crosby was third in tackles among defensive linemen. With DT Christian Wilkins joining the Las Vegas Raiders in the offseason, Crosby should improve in both those areas.

Nick Bosa (+725)

Nick Bosa won the DPOY award at the NFL Honors event for the 2022 season with 18.5 sacks. A long holdout last season with the Niners might have hurt him in 2023, so he could be due to bounce back big in 2024.

Offensive Player of the Year

Christian McCaffrey (+650)

As last year’s Offensive Player of the Year winner, the San Francisco 49ers’ Christian McCaffrey is the leading contender to repeat for the 2024 season. If he can stay healthy again over a full year, he could be a strong contender to win it again.

Tyreek Hill (+700)

As the runner-up in last season’s OPOY voting, Tyreek Hill might have some extra motivation this year. If the Miami Dolphins have a healthy Tua Tagovailoa at quarterback, Hill could put up big numbers.

Breece Hall (+1000)

A new face might be seen at the NFL Honors in February, as the New York Jets’ Breece Hall benefits from having a healthy Aaron Rodgers at QB and plenty of other weapons on offense to distract opposing defenses.

CeeDee Lamb (+1000)

Freshly signed to a massive contract, will CeeDee Lamb coast or will he dig even deeper? That’s the main question for Cowboys fans. His talent alone makes him a contender to take home the OPOY award in 2024.

Justin Jefferson (+1000)

Only one season removed from winning the OPOY award with the Minnesota Vikings, Justin Jefferson faces longer odds to grab the award again this year. QB Kirk Cousins is not with the team anymore and his replacements are simply not as capable.

Defensive Rookie of the Year

Jared Verse (+350)

As a two-time First-team All-America college player, Jared Verse is used to picking up some hardware. The Los Angeles Rams rookie linebacker is high on the list to do the same with the Defensive Rookie of the Year award at the NFL Honors after the 2024 season.

Dallas Turner (+360)

The Vikings took Dallas Turner in the first round in the NFL Draft, hoping he can turn his Co-Defensive SEC Player of the Year performance into a similar trophy as DROY in 2024.

Laiatu Latu (+360)

The 2023 winner of the Ted Hendricks Award as the top college linebacker in the country, Laiatu Latu is high on many lists to pick up the DROY as a member of the Indianapolis Colts this season.

Terrion Arnold (+1000)

Terrion Arnold joins a Detroit Lions defense that features DPOY candidate Aidan Hutchinson. With Hutchinson pressuring QBs, it could free up the rookie cornerback to rack up plenty of interceptions.

Byron Murphy II (+1200)

The Seattle Seahawks took Byron Murphy II with the 16th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the second-highest defensive player picked after Latu. If Murphy can help turn around a defense ranked 30th in the league last year, he’s got an outside shot at the DROY at the 2024-45 NFL Honors.

Offensive Rookie of the Year

Caleb Williams (+135)

The top pick in this year’s NFL Draft, Caleb Williams will step right into the starting QB role for the Bears. Williams’ Offensive Rookie of the Year chances will be enhanced by a stacked lineup of receivers that includes DJ Moore, Keenan Allen and fellow rookie Rome Odunze.

Jayden Daniels (+375)

The speedy QB was taken second overall in the draft by the Washington Commanders. If he can help turn around a franchise that hasn’t had a winning record since 2016, he’ll be in the running for OROY.

Marvin Harrison Jr. (+550)

With one of the best receiving pedigrees of all time, the Arizona Cardinals’ Marvin Harrison Jr. was the 4th player chosen in this year’s NFL draft. His father is a Hall of Fame receiver, and if he passed down any tips to his son, Harrison Jr. could catch the OROY.

Bo Nix (+900)

Bo Nix, the Denver Broncos’ rookie QB, was named the team’s starter well before Week 1, so he’ll have every opportunity to shine in head coach Sean Payton’s offense. He started 61 games in his college career, which may give him an edge in getting established quickly.

Malik Nabers (+1200)

Early reports out of the New York Giants’ training camp indicate that Malik Nabers is going to be a force as an NFL wide receiver. He was the second receiver taken in the NFL draft and the 6th pick overall. He also has an open wager with his friend and teammate Jayden Daniels for who will win the OROY.
