Week 8 of NCAA football has arrived and we’ve got all the latest college football odds to power you through the weekend.

The SEC is the big conference this weekend, with 4 teams among the top 11 in the country playing in two key games: Georgia vs. Texas and Alabama vs Tennessee. Those games and more all lead to the College Football Playoff and Bowl Season, so every snap counts.

2024 Week 8 College Football

#5 Georgia (+165) at #1 Texas (-195)

With a margin of victory of over 36 points per game so far this season, the 6-0 Longhorns have earned their #1 ranking. The Georgia Bulldogs will be their highest-ranked opponent, as the ‘Horns have only beaten one top-25 school so far.

The college football odds favor Texas, currently a 4-point favorite. But can the Bulldogs bite back against the top dog?

If Georgia QB Carson Beck, a Heisman hopeful, continues his recent form, it’s certainly possible. Over the last three games, he’s averaged 380 passing yards, including a staggering 459 against Alabama. However, he did throw three interceptions in that loss, indicating that another strong defense could pose challenges.

Another factor to consider: following the loss to Alabama, Georgia cannot afford another defeat if they hope to secure a spot in the College Football Playoff later this season.

This looks like one of the season’s best games, and we’ve got all the latest Georgia vs Texas odds, lines, and props to get you into the game even more.

#7 Alabama (-150) at #11 Tennessee (+130)

Both Alabama and Tennessee will be extremely hungry for a win in this key Week 8 college football matchup.

The Tide and the Vols were both ranked in the top 5 in the country just two weeks ago, but have seen their rankings slip after some big losses against unranked teams.

While both teams may see their CFP hopes dwindling, Alabama boasts a stronger roster led by QB Jalen Milroe. Capable of making big plays both through the air and on the ground, he has amassed over 1,400 passing yards with 12 touchdowns, alongside more than 300 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns.

Tennessee’s best chance lies in containing Milroe on the ground, as their defense ranks fifth nationally against the run. However, if Milroe finds success in the passing game—especially with standout freshman wide receiver Ryan Williams—and if Tennessee’s QB Nico Iamaleava struggles again with another sub-200-yard performance, the Tide could roll.

With the spread of just Alabama -3 points currently, “Bama could play it if you think Milroe will have a big day.

#24 Michigan (-160) vs #22 Illinois (+135)

The absence of JJ McCarthy has been rough on the Wolverines this season.

They’ll be starting their third quarterback of the season, with Jack Tuttle replacing Alex Orji, who replaced Davis Warren.

Tuttle is in his seventh year of college football and his second at Michigan, where he’s only attempted 35 passes for the Wolverines.

This could be a factor in the Over/Under of just 43.5, one of the lowest in the college football lineup this week.

If this does turn into a ground battle as the college football odds people expect, the weak link that gives Michigan the edge is the Fighting Illini’s run defense. They’re allowing 5.4 yards per carry, and Michigan’s Kalel Mullings has put in two 150-yard performances this season. But if Illinois stacks their D against him, expect a game as close as the current 3-point spread suggests.

Grab dozens of different bets for Michigan-Illinois right here.

#12 Notre Dame (-450) at Georgia Tech (+135)

The Fighting Irish (6-0) have a decided edge at QB in this game, with Riley Leonard able to run it—better than – he can throw it. He’s got 8 rushing TDs and 400+ yards on the ground this season already, surpassing his 6 passing TDs.

The Irish have beaten two ranked teams already this year, so on paper the Yellow Jackets should be beatable.

But Georgia Tech (5-2) matches up well against Notre Dame. While the Jackets’ pass D is suspect, it isn’t that big an issue since Notre Dame’s passing offense is limited. It’s the run defense of Georgia Tech, giving up just 3.6 yards per rush and only 4 TDs all season, that could stop Leonard and RB Jeremiyah Love in their tracks.

On the other hand, Notre Dame is giving up less than 12 points per game and they’re outscoring their opponents by an average of 33 points over their last 4 games. They might just be too hot to handle right now.

On top of the spread, moneyline, and Over/Under college football odds, we’ve got dozens of other bets available right now for the Notre Dame vs. Georgia Tech battle.

#2 Oregon (-10000) at Purdue (+1600)

The 6-0 Ducks had a standout performance against Ohio State last weekend, securing a late victory that solidified their #2 national ranking.

The outcome appears straightforward as they travel to Purdue to face the 1-5 Boilermakers. However, bettors should take note of the spread and a few critical factors. The current -27.5 spread is notable, particularly for a team that is 1-4 against the spread (ATS) as the favorite this season, including an 0-3 record when favored by 20 points or more.

Additionally, they’ll be traveling across the country on a short week for a Friday night matchup, which could lead to some fatigue after a wild game against OSU. Bettors must weigh these considerations against the reality that Purdue has allowed over 500 yards per game to opposing offenses. If the large spread feels overwhelming, opting for the Over on the 60.5 total line might be a more attractive bet.
