NCAA Football has brought so much parity that it’s easier to start with a weekly rundown of all the upsets from the previous week.

No. 7 Indiana upset No. 3 Oregon. Unranked Texas stunned No. 6 Oklahoma. Unranked Utah took down No. 21 Arizona State. Unranked USC knocked off No. 15 Michigan. And unranked Colorado capped the chaos with an upset over No. 22 Iowa State.

We’ve got any-give-Sunday football on Saturday, and if you’re a fan of betting on the unranked or betting underdog, 2025 is the NCAA season for you. With that, here are the best NCAAF odds to sink your teeth into. Bettor beware.

Friday, October 17

Louisville Cardinal at No. 2 Miami Hurricanes

  • Odds: Miami -13.5
  • Total: 51.5
  • Time: 7 p.m. ET
  • ESPN

In a wild college football season, No. 2 Miami is one of the few who has lived up to, and perhaps even exceeded, preseason expectations. However, is its status as one of the top National Championship contenders an addition by subtraction, or are they a true top talent in the vein of No. 1 Ohio State?

While Miami proved its merit against preseason No. 6 Notre Dame in Week 1, it recently had a close call with Florida State in Week 6, allowing 17 points in the fourth quarter to win 28-22.

Louisville’s chance to cover and perhaps even upset Miami will rest on its ability to stifle senior QB Carson Beck – a star transfer from Georgia. They are one of the top 10 schools in pass defense, allowing just 150.4 yards per game and a solid 21 points per game. This is the first time Louisville is an underdog this year; they’ve gone 1-4 against the spread (ATS) overall.

Saturday, October 18

No. 10 LSU Tigers at No. 17 Vanderbilt Commodores

  • Odds: Vanderbilt -2.5
  • Total: 48.5
  • Time: 12 p.m. ET
  • ABC

We are officially in uncharted territory. Vanderbilt, a second-tier program in the state of Tennessee, is favored for the first time since at least 1978 – breaking a 176-game streak as an underdog.

It makes sense. The Commodores have taken advantage of the chaotic 2025 season, starting the year 5-1. They only lost against No. 10 Alabama 30-14 after staying within six points into the fourth quarter. That said, Diego Pavia’s offense was held to just 14 points after averaging 49 over the first five games. Like Alabama, LSU has been anchored by its defense. The Tigers rank fifth nationally, allowing just 11.8 points per game, and hold a +2 turnover margin – showcasing their ability to protect the football while consistently generating takeaways.

No. 5 Ole Miss Rebels at No. 9 Georgia Bulldogs

  • Odds: Georgia -7.5
  • Total: 54
  • Time: 3:30 p.m. ET
  • ABC

Once again, oddsmakers aren’t putting much stock in the AP Top 25. No. 5 Ole Miss remains unbeaten and ranked fifth nationally, yet enters Sanford Stadium as a touchdown-plus underdog. The Rebels’ up-tempo spread attack has powered them to 39.8 points per game, but they’ll face a Georgia team built on defensive toughness – allowing only 17 points per contest and fresh off a performance that held Auburn to just 10.

No. 11 Tennessee Volunteers at No. 6 Alabama Crimson Tide

  • Odds: Alabama -8.5
  • Total: 58.5
  • Time: 7:30 p.m. ET
  • ABC

No. 11 Tennessee heads into Tuscaloosa to take on No. 6 Alabama in a high-stakes SEC showdown. Tennessee’s offense is humming – quarterback Joey Aguilar is averaging 280 passing yards, and the Vols rank among the SEC’s top teams in explosive plays. But Tennessee’s defense has been uneven, especially versus the pass.

Meanwhile, Alabama QB Ty Simpson is currently on a Heisman hunt, boasting 16 touchdowns and just one interception, with a stingy defense behind him. For that reason, the Tide are 8.5-point favorites. The matchup hinges on whether Tennessee can keep the Tide from getting into a rhythm.

No. 20 USC Trojans at No. 13 Notre Dame Fighting Irish

  • Odds: Notre Dame -9.5
  • Total: 61
  • Time: 7:30 p.m. ET
  • NBC Peacock

No. 20 USC is riding high after a 31-13 win over No. 15 Michigan. The Trojans climbed in the rankings behind an offense averaging 45.5 points per game, fourth-best in the nation. However, their defense remains a concern, allowing 352 yards per contest and struggling to contain explosive plays on the road. This matchup may hinge on Notre Dame’s ability to control tempo through star running back Jeremiyah Love, forcing USC to play from behind. Meanwhile, quarterback Jayden Maiava and the Trojans’ high-powered passing attack will look to stretch the Irish defense and turn the game into a shootout.
