Have we crossed the upset-Saturday threshold? There were some less-acclaimed upsets with Wake Forest beating No. 14 Virginia 16-9, and Wisconsin upsetting No. 23 Washington 13-10. But overall, it appears the rankings have stabilized at the top, while major movement is only happening in the 20s.
But will it last? We have three SEC matchups that could flip the College Football Playoff (CFP) on its head, leaving the door open for squads outside the top 12, like Miami, USC, and Vanderbilt, to sneak back in.
Here are the best NCAAF week 12 odds coming this weekend.

Main Event Matchups
No. 9 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (7–2) at No. 22 Pittsburgh Panthers (7–2)
- Odds: Notre Dame –11
- Total: 55.5
- Time: 12 p.m. ET
- ABC
With the college football season winding down, teams are jockeying to climb or remain in the CFP top 12 before Bowl Season begins. The Fighting Irish, after losing to Miami and Texas A&M the first two weeks of the season, have rattled off seven straight to climb to No. 9 in the nation.
However, they now face one of their toughest road tests of the season despite being 11-point road favorites. Future first-round running back Jeremiyah Love primarily anchors the Fighting Irish offense, and he’ll be facing a Pittsburgh defense that has been better than Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Indiana in rushing yards allowed.
Pittsburgh’s offense, meanwhile, ranks sixth in scoring and 11th in passing yards. They faced only one other ranked opponent all year, No. 25 Florida State, and passed for 321 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions in a 34-31 victory.
No. 21 Iowa Hawkeyes (6–3) at No. 17 USC Trojans (7–2)
- Odds: USC –6.5
- Total: 49.5
- Time: 3:30 p.m. ET
- BTN
The Trojans have been on a rollercoaster ride all year, trying to stay above water in the rankings. They have a chance to sneak into the CFP over the next two weeks, after hosting No. 21 Iowa, then head to Autzen Stadium to face No. 8 Oregon.
But they better not peek ahead. The Hawkeyes are 0-3 when facing a ranked opponent (No. 16 Iowa State, No. 11 Indiana, and No. 9 Oregon) but covered every spread and lost by an average of just 3.3 points. In terms of Oregon last week, Iowa led with less than two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter before the Ducks squeaked out a game-winning field goal. The Hawkeyes may not have an elite offense, but they bring a stout defense that allows just 13.7 points per game.
No. 11 Oklahoma Sooners (7–2) at No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide (8–1)
- Odds: Alabama –6
- Total: 46
- Time: 3:30 p.m. ET
- ABC
Playoff implications, Heisman implications, SEC implications, this is one of two monster matchups that will make headlines on Saturday.
Oklahoma QB John Mateer was considered a top pick and a Heisman hopeful, and the Sooners ranked as high as seventh in the AP Top 25. But a hand injury in Week 4 slowed down Mateer’s performance, and losses to Texas and Ole Miss have put the team on the edge of a CFP birth.
The Crimson Tide, meanwhile, has seen the opening left by squads like Clemson, Texas, and LSU and surged up the rankings. QB Ty Simpson is firmly in the Heisman race and could be the No. 1 overall pick in the draft if he decides to leave after one year as a starter.
Alabama is favored by six, but Oklahoma has covered the spread over their last three meetings – including a 24-3 upset as 14-point underdogs last year.
No. 10 Texas Longhorns (7–2) at No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs (8–1)
- Odds: Georgia –6
- Total: 48
- Time: 7:30 p.m. ET
- ABC
It’s still tough to pin down exactly who Texas – and Arch Manning – really are. They’ve gone from preseason No. 1 to unranked and back again to the edge of the CFP conversation. Manning’s arc has been just as wild: from Heisman favorite, to punchline, to right back in the spotlight for 2027. But this matchup with Georgia feels like the moment of truth: An all-or-nothing SEC battle that should finally reveal what this team is made of.
Georgia will likely lean on dual-threat quarterback Gunner Stockton, especially with a run game that’s sputtered at just 4.3 yards per carry. That could spell trouble against Texas’s relentless front, which has piled up 34 sacks this season.
The true X-factor remains Manning. With Georgia’s pass rush producing only nine sacks all year, he’ll have time to make plays – if he’s sharp. The question, as always, is which version of Arch shows up.
