AUBURN +300

Auburn college basketball fans are hoping Johni Broome can lead the Tigers to lift the National Championship Trophy in April, and they are still the top team when it comes to March Madness odds.

The Tigers have a strong record against top competition, boasting a 14-2 mark against Quad 1 teams this season. This impressive team performance is matched by Broome’s individual prowess, particularly against ranked teams. He has delivered double-doubles in 8 of his 9 games against such opponents, showcasing his ability to perform under pressure.

Coach Bruce Pearl – the second-fastest coach to hit 300 career wins – has Auburn prepared for this year’s tournament.

Pearl’s posse has only lost 2 games all year, and they’ll close out the season against #7 Alabama in what should be a great test to see if the Tigers have the teeth for the pressure of March Madness.

DUKE +310

Duke is close behind Auburn for March Madness National Championship odds, and they’re one of just two teams to beat the top-ranked Tigers this season.

On their way to another stellar season with close to 30 wins, the Blue Devils have been a force in the March Madness tournament for decades already.

The Blue Devils still have the highest point differential in men’s college basketball, often beating opponents by 20 or more points.

Cooper Flagg is the main reason and he’s the man – freshman, that is – that has been making highlight reel plays all season.

You can bet Flagg is hungry for a title, since this is likely going to be his only year of college hoops before he heads to the NBA.

Can he make it 6 national titles for the Blue Devils? Coach Jon Scheyer, at just 37 years old, is miles behind the legendary Coach K, but he just led Duke to the most regular season wins of an ACC team.

HOUSTON +650

The Houston Cougars moved up in terms of their March Madness odds from just a week ago, mainly due to their current 9-game win streak heading into their final game of the season before the Madness begins.

Their high-pressure defense, giving up just 57 points per game, is well-suited to the pressure-packed format of the Tournament. They could just squeeze every team like a cougar hunting its prey down, and many NCAA men’s teams will be already feeling the pressure as soon as the national TV cameras are on.

L.J. Cryer leads the team on offense, averaging 15 points per game. He’s also a Senior, giving the team some cool-headed experience in the pressure cooker of the March Madness tournament. Cryer is also headed to the NBA next season and will want to put on his best performance with all eyes on him and his Houston crew.

Heading into their final game of the season, the Cougars are red-hot, winning 22 of their last 23 games. A nice trend for March Madness betting fans…

FLORIDA +850

It’s the boards where the Florida Gators basketball team has the worst bite. They’re fifth in the country in rebounds and can take over a tight game with this skill alone.

Will Richard is the big man on campus for Florida. He’s scored 25 or more plus 5 rebounds in a game 4 times this season to lead the SEC.

The Gators have some high-profile W’s to their credit this season. They hammered Tennessee by 30 points in January, and then took down #1 Auburn in February.

If Florida makes it to the Final Four, they’ve shown they can hang with the big dogs (tough to work in a gator analogy here – work with us, people). The Gators have made it two National Championship games in their history of 22 Tournament appearances, but that was back in 2006-07. They might be due.

ALABAMA +950

Besides Duke, UNC, Kentucky and maybe Connecticut, Alabama is one of those teams that we just expect to see in every March Madness tournament.

By appearing in every March Madness since 1999, making it to the Final Four twice in the past decade, you got to think the Crimson Tide will finally roll in to the National Championship winners’ circle at some point.

Is this their year? They did just drop a buzzer-beater to lower-ranked Tennessee, but otherwise ‘Bama has had a stellar season.

Alabama is to offense what Houston is to defense. Alabama is #1 in the country in scoring, averaging 90+ points per game. Those are NBA numbers. Mark Sears leads the team in scoring and assists, and you know the Senior is going to bring it for his last shot at a national title.
