After a long NBA season of 82 games, plus more for playoff teams, players deserve to kick back, relax, and maybe take off their shoes.

Some of those shoes will land with an epic thump and may be among the largest in the world.

Seeing as though we’ve covered the biggest hand sizes in NBA history, we thought we’d have some foot-filled fun and take a look at the biggest NBA shoe sizes of all time.

10. Dwight Howard

  • Shoe Size: 18
  • Height: 6’10”

Dwight Howard played 18 seasons in the NBA, earning 8 All-Star selections and 3 Defensive Player of the Year awards. He’s best remembered for his Superman dunk in the 2008 Slam Dunk Contest. After his NBA career, he played overseas, including in Taiwan, and as of 2025, is not active in the NBA.

9. Yao Ming

  • Shoe Size: 18
  • Height: 7’6”

Despite chronic foot injuries cutting his career short, Yao was an 8-time All-Star and became an international ambassador for basketball. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame and served as President of the Chinese Basketball Association until 2024.

8. Andre Drummond

  • Shoe Size: 19
  • Height: 6’10”

A dominant rebounder, Drummond reached the 10,000-rebound mark in 2023 and is currently among the top 30 all-time rebounders. In July 2024, he signed a 2-year deal with the Philadelphia 76ers and continues to contribute as a key role player.

7. Kevin Love

  • Shoe Size: 19
  • Height: 6’8”

Love is a 5-time All-Star and NBA Champion (2016 with Cleveland). He played for the Miami Heat through 2024 but is currently a free agent. Known for his rebounding and shooting, Love also remains active in mental health advocacy.

6. Karl-Anthony Towns

  • Height: 6’11”

A 4-time All-Star, Towns was traded to the New York Knicks in October 2024 after spending his entire career with the Minnesota Timberwolves. He continues to be an elite scorer and recently won the 2024 Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Social Justice Champion Award.

5. Robin Lopez & Brook Lopez

Identical twins Robin and Brook both wear size 20s. Robin, a journeyman center, was most recently waived by the Kings and is currently a free agent. Brook remains a key player with the Milwaukee Bucks and was instrumental in their 2021 NBA Championship run.

4. Victor Wembanyama

The French phenom has quickly made a name for himself with the San Antonio Spurs. Known for his shot-blocking and scoring versatility, Wembanyama is considered one of the most promising young stars in the league.

3. Tacko Fall

After brief stints with the Celtics and Cavaliers, Tacko Fall has played internationally, including in China and New Zealand. As of March 2025, he’s back with the Nanjing Monkey Kings in the Chinese Basketball Association.

2. Bob Lanier

Lanier played 14 seasons in the NBA, scoring over 19,000 points and collecting nearly 10,000 rebounds. He was an 8-time All-Star and is one of the few players to have his jersey retired by two teams — the Pistons and the Bucks.
