Bovada provides a fair and competitive playing environment for all players.
We monitor gameplay across the platform, review unusual activity, and take action when unfair, suspicious and/or malicious activity is identified to protect the integrity of play.
WHAT WE CONSIDER UNFAIR PLAY
Unfair play includes, but is not limited to:
- Player collusion
Coordinated play between two or more accounts designed to gain an unfair advantage. - Automated or assisted play (bots)
Use of scripts, software, or external tools that automate decisions or actions, or that we believe may provide a player with an unfair advantage. - Multi-accounting
Operating multiple accounts to bypass limits, manipulate outcomes, or exploit promotions. - Chip-Dumping
Practice where a player intentionally loses chips to another player, often to help them win or manipulate the game’s outcome.
HOW WE DETECT UNFAIR BEHAVIOR
Our Integrity team uses a layered approach that combines technology with human expertise, including:
- Gameplay timing and pattern analysis
- Repeated coordination between accounts
- Device and network relationship checks
- Session overlap and behavioral similarity
- Manual review by trained analysts
Decision-making is never based on a single signal and/or outcome. Multiple indicators are analyzed collectively to ensure accuracy and reliability – providing a plausible overview.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY IS REPORTED
When potential unfair play is identified:
- A review is opened by our Integrity team.
- Relevant gameplay data is analyzed.
- Accounts may be temporarily restricted during the review.
- A final determination is made.
Most reviews are completed within 24–72 hours, depending on the complexity of the case.
POSSIBLE OUTCOMES
Following a review, one of the following outcomes may apply:
- No violation found — accounts are fully restored
- A warning may be issued
- Account restrictions may be applied
- Account closure and confiscation of funds gained through suspicious and/or fraudulent activity
- Where appropriate, affected funds may be redistributed to affected players
PLAYER PRIVACY
To protect player privacy and the integrity of our security systems, we do not publicly disclose details of individual investigations or enforcement actions.
REPORTING FAIR PLAY CONCERNS
If you believe you may have been affected by unfair gameplay, contact our support team with as much detail as possible:
- Table or game name
- Approximate time of play
- Involved usernames (if known)
Every report is reviewed by our Integrity team.
WHAT PLAYERS SHOULD KNOW
- Reviews are not automatic punishments.
- Multiple signals are required before action is taken.
- Not every unusual pattern indicates fraudulent activity.
- Privacy rules prevent public disclosure of investigations.
- Our goal is to protect and maintain the integrity of fair gameplay.

Step 3 — Manual Inspection
Thorough analysis is conducted when reviewing data to confirm patterns are not coincidental.
Step 4 — Temporary Restrictions (if needed)
Players may be restricted from account access during an investigation or account review.
Step 5 — Decision
A final determination is made based on all available indicators.
Step 6 — Action & Communication
Appropriate action is taken, and affected players are informed appropriately.
