A Non-Swifties take on Taylors upcoming life
The idea of the Eras Tour was down to two “unpleasant” things Taylor experienced in the last several years. The first being that her music catalogue (first six albums) had been sold. She did eventually buy back her masters and then decided to rerecord those albums. And then there was COVID pandemic (which happened to all of us).
This was a time we all had to put our lives on hold and give up some of the things we loved doing like attending a Taylor Swift concert.
“What if I did a tour that celebrated all of these different moments in my life and career?” Swift recalled in her latest documentary on Netflix.

Taylor Swift’s Unstoppable Rise
As a not so Swiftie- I myself was intrigued as to where her life would go from here. She’s been selling out the largest stadiums the last couple of years and has been THE female artist of every single year for the last 5-6 years.
Making room for no one to come close to her….maybe other than Beyonce?
But now with a nuptial on the horizon what does that mean for Taylor Swift…and the rest of the Swifties.
Marriage can change a lot of things! And I think for a while none of us really expected Taylor would walk down that road as a self proclaimed ‘cat lady.’ But as a married women myself I know how a career can sometimes get pushed to the side when booking the venue and deciding on what shade of white to wear down the aisle. Tulips or hydrangeas? Honestly- I was never a girl who had a favorite flower! But maybe Taylor does.
And based on what I’ve surmised from her documentary on Netflix…she likes to be in control. Some may call this overt narcissism. Others may call it a winning drive! Here’s the thing- you can’t do what she does in regards to topping charts and selling out stadiums without having this competitive spirit in your bones.

But back to Taylors potentially new life— There’s a lot that goes into being engaged and planning a wedding. Not to mention, a lot of voices involved. I would mostly assume that Taylor would have a large wedding party as she’s always been female alpha of her ‘squad’ (featuring ladies like Blake Lively, Gigi Hadid, and Selena Gomez), sometimes dubbed the ‘mean girls’ by non-Swifties. I wonder what the wedding party line up would be, will any of these ladies will make it to being maid of honor and who would they have as man of honour?

Will Her Wedding Rival Her Tour?
As the ideas for the Eras Tour developed, Taylor had a clear goal set to “overserve” her fans in all avenues. From songs, production, and choreography… and to every detail from the moment her fans enter the arenas.
In the end Taylor and her team came up with a tour that lasted three hours.
So what does that mean for her wedding? Will she lean into the production of it all? Will it be just as big as her performances?
As an outsider I was surprised to see Taylor end up with a ‘Travis Kielce’ type. Not that there is anything wrong with a rugged football player, but I felt that Taylor Swift for the last few years represented what many felt like was modern day feminism.

Either way- I’m intrigued to see how married life, and potentially a family will shift the dynamics that Taylor has with her Swifties. Will she continue to prioritize work or will she take a few years off?

I remember when Beyonce and Jay Z started a family together. I felt like it was only a couple of months until she was back on stage.
I give major props to the ladies who rush back to work, especially if that work requires being in 6 inch stilettos on stage while shaking it like no other. I also respect the pause and truly think women miss out on sitting in the moment of something they worked hard for.
What’s Next for Taylor Swift?
What’s the rush? Maybe this new Documentary was a sort of end to a chapter, or was it, will she spill something in the finale that leaves Swiftie fans poised for 2026.
