Suzanne Collins released the latest installment of her successful franchise titled, ‘Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping’ last month all throughout bookstores & fans have been rejoicing for the opportunity of being transported into the dystopian world again that brought us the titular Katniss Everdeen.

This time around, the novel serves as yet another prequel that spotlights a young Haymitch Abernathy’s victory in the Hunger Games Second Quarter Quell, which is notorious for bringing upon four tributes from the twelve districts instead of the usual two.

Prior to that, its previous installment was the successful novel & film titled, ‘The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes’ which starred Lucy Gray & a young Coriolanus Snow before he rose to power.

Sunrise on the Reaping Release Date

With the novel freshly out, its major motion film debut has been announced to premiere on November 20, 2026 which is a little less over a year. With such a time crunch, diehard fans of the series have been brainstorming who the picture perfect cast will be for the film.

The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping Cast Odds

The ensemble for the franchise so far has been iconic to say the least, making Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Rachel Zegler & Tom Blyth work phenomenal among others. As details for the film has been kept under wraps with no trailer released still, the team here at Bovada has compiled a list of potential actors that could potentially join us at the Hunger Games arena this time around.

Potential actors to be casting the upcoming ‘The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping’ film odds:

  • Kiefer Sutherland: +325
  • Ralph Fiennes: +250
  • Jesse Plemons: +250
  • Fernanda Torres: +325

Kiefer Sutherland: +325

Known for his role in ’24,’ Kiefer Sutherland has also been the topic of the rumor mill being potentially casted as a young Corilanus Snow for the second prequel. The iconic villain from the original trilogy was actually played by his own father, Donald Sutherland, who sadly passed away late last year. With an odd of +325, many fans could pinpoint that this casting choice would be obvious as they are related and as being his son, he would play a younger version that his father portrayed.

Ralph Fiennes: +250

Following a mass award victory run last year for his role as Cardinal Thomas Lawrence in ‘Conclave,’ Ralph Fiennes has an odd of +250 to play the role of a young Snow in the film. In a recent report from Daniel Richtman who is seen as a reliable media source in the entertainment industry, Fiennes has been offered the role for the film. Although nothing has been confirmed, it could continue the long-standing franchise tradition to have an Oscar-nominated actor to play the villainous role.

Jesse Plemons: +250

Eyed by ‘Hunger Games’ fans, Jesse Plemons has an odd of +250 to play the younger version of Head Gamemaker Plutrarch Heavensbee who was played by the late Philip Seymour Hoffman. The actor is a riveting choice to play the role as many enjoy his roles in titular acts such as ‘Breaking Bad,’ ‘Kinds of Kindness’ & ‘Black Mirror.’

Fernanda Torres: +325

By trailblazing through 2024 by becoming the first Brazilian actor to win the Golden Globe Award for “Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama” & becoming the second nominated Brazilian actor at the Oscar’s for “Best Actress” following her own mother, Fernanda Torres has an odd of +325 to appear in the film. It out of the question that Torres is being eyed out by producer’s for their upcoming project after the success of ‘I’m Still Here,’ and fans sparked conversations on seeing her portray a younger version of Mags Flanagan who was a tribute from District 4 & is Haymitch Abernathy’s mentor in the new installment.

With many reports & rumors going around, the spirit of the ‘Hunger Games’ franchise continues to rekindle a passion for the franchise among fans as their depictions in the big screens fill moviegoers with swirl of adrenaline & emotions. If you’re a fan of the film, take on our betting odds here at Bovada as we await to see who will take part of the fascinating saga.
